Third Grade Brings “Androcles and the Lion” to Life!
Mrs. Logan’s third-grade class took center stage at our morning assembly, delighting the school with a Reader’s Theater performance of Androcles and the Lion. This timeless fable, which tells the story of kindness repaid, was the perfect way to introduce February’s Virtue of the Month: Kindness.
The students did a fantastic job bringing the story to life, reading their lines with confidence and acting out the scenes with enthusiasm. Their expressive voices and animated performances kept the audience engaged, and they beautifully conveyed the story’s powerful message—that small acts of kindness can lead to great rewards.
In this noble performance, our young scholars demonstrated how classical literature serves both mind and soul, cultivating intellectual excellence while illuminating the eternal truths that guide virtuous character.
A big congratulations to Mrs. Logan’s third graders for their hard work and dedication! We can’t wait to see how they continue to show kindness in the coming month.
