School Highlight – 2/21/2025

Each morning, our entire school community gathers for our morning assembly. This daily ritual is more than just a routine; it’s a moment where we come together, align our focus, and prepare for a day of learning and growth.

We begin with the Pledge of Allegiance, standing in unity as we honor our country. Then, in a call-and-response style, our students confidently recite the Classical Student Pledge. This pledge serves as a guiding principle for the day, reinforcing our values and reminding students of their purpose and responsibility. It is a powerful way to set the tone for a day of excellence.

The significance of this tradition was made even more evident during our recent K-2 Awards Ceremony. In the excitement of recognizing our young scholars, Mrs. Urbancic started the ceremony with the Pledge of Allegiance but unintentionally skipped the Classical Student Pledge. Without hesitation, our students quickly spoke up, asking her to lead them in the pledge. Their eagerness to uphold this tradition was a heartwarming reminder of just how much the Classical Student Pledge means to them.

This small but meaningful moment speaks volumes about our school’s culture. The Classical Student Pledge is not just something we say—it’s something we live. It shapes our students’ mindset, reminding them of the values of integrity, hard work, and respect that guide their day.

We are so proud of our students for embracing this tradition and making it their own. Their enthusiasm for upholding our school’s values is truly inspiring!

Congratulations to all of our incredible students at Heart of Ohio who received OWLS this week! A total of 150 OWLS were awarded to students for their outstanding effort, kindness, and perseverance. Keep up the great work, and keep soaring! 🌟🐦
